Inspiring images Digest: James Dean, Anna Parkina, Macedonia Creaciones

1. UK based high-end magazine THE CITY features James Dean on the cover of its November issue. With the title “The Golden Boys” the magazine includes a 4 page special article on classic Hollywood style icons such as Dean, Humpfrey Bogart and Frank Sinatra. Everytime I see a picture of Dean there is this mystic aura in his intense eyes and beautiful facial features that hypnotises me for few seconds.

2. Behind Macedonia Creaciones is Vanesa Cabeza Cobo, a Spanish versatile artist with a special talent for portrait oil works. Part of her recent range of customised handcrafted products are these beautiful portrait keyrings with the image of dogs for the delightment of pet owners. Cute!

3. A while ago I came accross this beautiful collage artwork by Anna Parkina at Saatchi Gallery, London. Not much I know about her as I haven’t been able to find any links to her bio but it was refreshing to find recent works using the old technique of collaging.
